"I have always loved dogs. My mother bought me my first dog, in the hope that I would stop bringing home every stray that I found. She bought me a horse for the same reason. Well, O.K. I never found a stray horse, but sometimes I did bring home the neighbor's. My passion, combined with 20 years of breeding, grooming and handling, imparts a unique opportunity to share my dogs with responsible loving show homes and pet owners. "

Mission Statement...

PraeTorian Shih Tzu Show Dogs is on a mission to breed a better dog and to impact the Shih Tzu breed by building a pedigree of top caliber Champions and Champion Producers in as few litters as possible. My vision involves being the best at breeding, grooming and handling my breed. My goal is to facilitate in any way possible the goodness in the sport of pure-bred dogs. I will do this by maintaining a teaching demeanor, being open-minded but conscientious and by being fair, honest and credible. I will offer encouragement to those earnestly seeking to join the sport, and I will not be rude, crass or condescending to anyone who questions me about any element of raising show dogs. I am certain I will be outstanding at this because I want more excellent quality pure-bred Shih Tzu in the world, and because I made sure I knew what a good dog was by studying my breed, putting myself in direct competition with professional handlers, learning from professional handlers and by maintaining a teachable attitude. I will provide public information to encourage the pet owner to buy from a responsible breeder to assist in the elimination of puppy mills and un-responsible back-yard breeders producing dollar store variety dogs for a profit. I promise to pursue excellence in pure-bred dogs and to this end, I dedicate my life and myself to the Shih Tzu and to the sport of pure-bred dogs.

Not every A.K.C pure-bred puppy can become an A.K.C champion, but all dogs do go to heaven and are Champions in the hearts of their owners.
